Cat Reman brake and steering clutches such as part # 0R8959 provide the friction to transfer power from the engine to the rest of the drive train. These durable plates are subject to high temperatures, high torque, high impact loads, and frequent direction and gear changes. Tight metallurgical specifications reduce excessive or premature plate wear and reduce plate warping and friction disc wear caused by extreme heat.
